Led by Laura Parnell, this training zeroes in on using EMDR techniques to fix attachment issues. Participants get the know-how to help clients tackle challenges related to attachment, boosting their emotional and relational health.

Integrative Sex and Couples Certification Training (2022)

With Dr. Tammy Nelson guiding the way, this course at the Integrated Sex Therapy Institute turns pros into Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professionals (CSTIP). It mixes theory with real-world practice, focusing on a holistic approach to sex and couples therapy to improve results for clients.

IFS Informed EMDR (2022)

Taught by Bruce Hershey, LCSW, this course blends Internal Family Systems (IFS) with EMDR practices. Therapists learn to deal with inner conflicts and trauma by looking at the different parts of a client’s self, which helps in the healing process.

Integrating EMDR into Your Clinical Practice (2021)

This training from EMDR Consulting helps clinicians learn how to effectively use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in their work. It’s all about applying this method to treat trauma and other psychological challenges.

IFS Immersion: Integrating Internal Family Systems Across Clinical Applications (2021)

Facilitated by Frank Anderson, this deep dive into the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model teaches participants how to use IFS principles across different clinical settings. It helps therapists navigate complex client dynamics and encourages self-awareness and healing.

Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (2021)

 This intensive training with Leslie Korn provided a comprehensive education in the principles and practices of integrative mental healthcare.  The curriculum explored the interconnectedness of mental and physical health, emphasizing the crucial role of lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management in mental well-being.  Through in-depth lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, I gained proficiency in developing personalized, holistic treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based complementary and alternative therapies alongside conventional medical approaches.  This certification demonstrates my commitment to addressing the whole person in mental healthcare and expanding my toolkit to offer more comprehensive and effective support to clients. 

 * Private Mental Health Practice Owner and Therapist: Provides individual and family therapy, utilizes specialized interventions and treatment modalities, conducts complex assessments, develops treatment plans, delivers workplace trainings, and worked as a forensic and custody evaluator for local court systems.

* Mental Health Clinical Supervisor: Managed and supervised clinical staff, provided training and mentorship, conducted assessments and interventions, developed treatment plans, coordinated care with multiple providers, and utilized a trauma-informed care approach.

* Community Mental Health Clinician: Provided individual, group, and family therapy, conducted intake and needs assessments, participated in treatment planning, provided crisis intervention, facilitated educational groups, and utilized a trauma-informed care approach.

* Substance Abuse Treatment Provider: Conducted assessments and evaluations for clients, provided crisis intervention and therapeutic interventions, and collaborated with a multidisciplinary team and local court systems.

* School-Based Social Work: Provided individual, group, and family services, conducted behavioral evaluations and interventions, facilitated educational groups for students and staff, advocated for student needs, conducted district-wide needs assessments and collaborated with parents and educators.

* Human Trafficking Advocacy and Prevention: Secured grant funding, developed training materials, collaborated with external agencies, conducted research, and provided training on human trafficking and trauma-informed care to local businesses, first responders and local social service agencies.

* Child Welfare: Gained experience in investigations, forensic interviewing, case management, and child welfare services.
